Turning Technologies released ResponseCard NXT, an advanced radio frequency LCD keypad, and TurningKey, a self-paced assessment software. The ResponseCard NXT device, which allows for cell-phone style text input, is compatible with the latest versions of the company’s polling applications and has a self-paced test mode for individual assessment. The device works in conjunction with TurningKey. The interactive polling software allows users to create digital answer keys for tests, specify exam times and monitor progress during an assessment.

Collectively, the properties represent a total of one million square feet in meeting space and about 25,000 hotel rooms.

The Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel reopened after a three-year, multimillion dollar renovation to its lobby, guest rooms, meeting spaces and fitness center. It has 262 rooms and 8,775 square feet of total meeting space.
Northview Hotel Group acquired three JELD-WEN resorts in Central and Southern Oregon, including Brasada Ranch (rooms and cabins, and meeting space) in Powell Butte, Eagle Crest Resort (100 guest rooms, 21,611 square feet of meeting space) near Redmond, and Running Y Ranch (82 rooms, 7,500 square feet of meeting space) in Klamath Falls.
Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Valley Forge/Collegeville is now managed by White Lodging Services Corporation. The hotel has 132 rooms and 3,200 square feet of flexible meeting space.

The Chesapeake Lodging Trust announced that it will acquire the 195-room Homewood Suites by Hilton Seattle Convention Center for $35 million. It has 240 square feet of meeting space.
