Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has joined the lineup of speakers at the GBTA Convention 2013 in August in San Diego. Clinton will give the General Session keynote on Aug. 7, the final day of the four-day gathering.

Clinton visited more than 112 countries as secretary of state, and Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO, says that is a testament to the value of travel and face-to-face meetings. Clinton is, of course, a former U.S. senator from New York and a former first lady, as well.

GBTA previously announced that former first lady Laura Bush will address the convention on Aug. 6.

The Global Business Travel Association Convention, with nearly 7,000 attendees, is one of the largest annual gatherings of business travel and meetings managers, meeting planners, procurement professionals and suppliers in the world. Details HERE.
