Visitors to AccorHotels’ properties in 92 countries will soon be able to regulate temperature and lighting, order meals and other hotel services, get messages, stream programs and see personalized content, all from a single ultra-high-definition TV screen.
As part of a technology partnership between Paris-based AccorHotels and Samsung Electronics, the Seoul company will install UHD screens in guest rooms and public areas — lobbies, bars, restaurants and meeting spaces — that use its LYNK Hospitality Management to display hotel messages and specialized content.
For meeting and event attendees, the in-room content would include general announcements and one-to-one messages, the day’s activities, ads from vendor partners and even each attendee’s personal agenda.
