Loopd helps meeting participants exchange contact information and content, and helps organizers gather rich engagement and traffic data through a wearable beacon badge and app. It works independently of Wi-Fi availability, a major factor in its win, according to the judges.
#IMEXpitch showcases event technology startups and their products at no cost to an audience of event professionals and helps IMEX America attendees learn about new event technology.
Each of four finalists in this techno battle delivered a live pitch to five judges and an audience of more than 60 at IMEX’s Inspiration Hub. The other finalists were:
- Brojure. A digital proposal and communication app for planners.
- Lasso40. Captures e-signatures and electronically checks in attendees at events.
- LiGo by Limefy. A face-to-face networking tool that helps event participants meet the right people.
- PheedLoop. An event engagement tool that gathers actionable data and analytics.
The shortlist was chosen from 26 companies that entered this year’s contest.
The winning product benefits from publicity across IMEX America media and PR channels plus free exhibition space on the Technology Pavilion at IMEX America 2016.
Speecheo, winner of last year’s inaugural competition, offers a speaker effectiveness app. Since winning, IMEX officials say, the company has attracted investor interest and been accepted into one of the best startup incubators in Paris.
