The Holiday Inn Express Victoria-Colwood in Victoria, British Columbia, opened with 80 guest rooms and a 300-sq. ft. meeting room (capacity: 15).
The 348-key Sheraton Chuzhou Hotel opened in Anhui Province with 17,000 square feet of conference space, including a ballroom (capacity: 1,200).
The 365-room DoubleTree by Hilton Qingdao-Jimo opened in Shandong Province with more than 21,000 square feet of event space including an 8,600-sq. ft. divisible ballroom (capacity: 800) and nine multifunction rooms.
The Hilton Shenzhen Futian opened with 320 guest rooms/suites and 25,800 square feet of conference and event space (a 6,700-sq. ft. ballroom and 16 meeting/event spaces.
The 80-key Four Seasons Casa Medina Bogota reopened after a multimillion-dollar renovation with 4,575 square feet of event space, including a 2,500-sq. ft. ballroom (capacity: 120 banquet, 175 reception) and a 50-seat private dining room.
The Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino reopened after a $40 million renovation, with 300 guest rooms/suites; a 14,000-sq. ft. theater (capacity: 1,200); and a 23,360-sq. ft. conference center with 13 meeting rooms.
The Hilton Hotel & Spa Liverpool opened in the Municipal Annexe building, a restored historic building, with 87 guest rooms/suites and three conference/event rooms ranging from 1,170 square feet to 3,760 square feet (capacity; 62-220).
The Taipei Marriott Hotel opened with 320 guest rooms and a 32,300-sq. ft. conference center, divisible into 13 meeting spaces and a 13,600-sq. ft. ballroom.
The Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook opened with 100 guest rooms and seven event rooms totaling 12,000 square feet.
San Francisco’s 75-key Palace Hotel reopened after a $40 million renovation to its guest rooms and public spaces. It includes 44,000 square feet of function space, 23 meeting rooms, four boardrooms and three ballrooms (the largest is 8,964 square feet and holds 1,000).
The Swan Hotel at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista completed redesigns of its 758 rooms, part of a multi-phase,
multi-year $125 million project at the Swan and Dolphin hotels.
The 1,000-key Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando expanded its meeting and event space to 132,000 square feet, including ballrooms of 36,000 square feet and 42,000 square feet, 15 meeting rooms and a 6,356-sq. ft. outdoor pavilion.
The Hilton Garden Inn Bolingbrook opened with 129 guest rooms and 4,900 square feet of meeting space (capacity: 400).
Boston’s Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center won ALHI’s 2015 Chairman’s Award. It has 428 renovated guest rooms/suites and more than 180,000 square feet of meeting space split among 42 meeting rooms, an 118,000-sq. ft. exhibit hall and a 400-seat amphitheater.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Winston Salem – University, formerly the University Hotel & Conference Center, reopened after a $6 million property-wide renovation that included its 150 guest rooms and more than 6,000 square feet of meeting space.
The Hilton Garden Inn Columbus/Dublin renovated its 100 guest rooms. It has a 1,050-sq. ft. divisible meeting room (capacity: 100).
The 317-key Hilton Columbus at Easton completed Phase 1 of an $11 million interior renovation. It has 30,000 square feet of meeting space, including three ballrooms.
The Home2Suites by Hilton Oklahoma City South opened with 84 suites and one 824-sq. ft. meeting room (capacity: 80 reception).
The Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria opened with 325 guest rooms/suites, 11,343 square feet of function space and 7,846 square feet of pre-function space.
