New York City’s High Line Hotel is partnering with Shinola to give guests complimentary access to bicycles and helmets. Detroit-based Shinola is known for its bikes, watches, journals, pet accessories and small leather goods.
The 60-room High Line Hotel, in the Chelsea neighborhood on the West Side of Manhattan, has more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space throughout seven rooms plus pre-function space. It’s near the High Line elevated park, Hudson River Park and the Whitney Museum, among other attractions, all of which are highlighted on a hand-drawn map given to all guests/attendees who opt to borrow a bicycle. Bikes are available sunrise to sundown seven days a week.
Bikers have the option of buying a customized gourmet picnic basket, provided by the hotel’s Italian-themed Alta Linea restaurant. The baskets fit into the bicycles’ hand-made cargo boxes.
