The entertainment world has its Golden Globes, Oscars, Emmys and Tonys. Atlanta celebrates the world of special events with its annual Allie Awards, now in their 23rd year. The awards are designed to recognize outstanding examples of quality and creativity in Atlanta’s event industry and to demonstrate how working together for a common good can promote excellence in event design, planning and production.
To enter, one of these three requirements must be met: Your company is in metro Atlanta; your event was held in metro Atlanta; or your company is a member of an Atlanta chapter hospitality association or organization. Submissions are now open. For details, rules and submission forms, go HERE. The “on-time” entry deadline is 5 p.m. Jan. 26 EST, with a fee of $75 per entry. The extended entry deadline is 5 p.m. Feb. 1 EST, with a fee of $100.
This year’s Allies will honor event professionals in up to 37 categories covering such disciplines as planning, design, cuisine, entertainment, photography, technical production, enhancements, wedding planning and design, and best team effort, plus special humanitarian, rising star and lifetime achievement awards.
