The Four Points by Sheraton Saskatoon in Saskatchewan opened with 119 rooms and 1,100 square feet of meeting and conference space.
The 303-room Wyndham Kingston Jamaica opened with more than 16,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 10,000-sq. ft. Grand Independence Ballroom.
Hilton The Hague opened in the former Royal Dutch Telecom headquarters with 195 rooms and 10 meeting spaces, including the Mesdag Ballroom, which accommodates up to 400 guests.
The Hyatt Regency Orange County reopened near the Anaheim Convention Center after a $25 million renovation. Upgrades include two restaurants and improvements to its 654 rooms and suites, lobby and front desk, and 65,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The Padre Hotel, a boutique property in Bakersfield, reopened with 112 renovated rooms, meeting and event space for up to 200 people.
The redesigned conference facility, the Beverly Garland Center opened in North Hollywood with more than 12,000 square feet of event space for up to 650 guests. Its six meeting spaces include the 132-seat Beverly Garland Theater, which has plush chairs with retractable desks.
District of Columbia
The Washington Hilton near Dupont Circle reopened after a $150 million renovation that included all 1,070 rooms as well as meeting rooms and function spaces, the lobby and restaurants. The hotel’s 110,000-sq. ft. function space has a 30,000-sq. ft. multipurpose addition with movable walls for maximum flexibility.
After a $5.5 million renovation, the Wyndham Garden Hotel Miami South Beach reopened with 133 rooms and suites and a total of 1,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and 3,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space. It can accommodate meetings of 10 to 160. It is within walking distance of the Miami Beach Convention Center and two blocks from the beach.
The CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort opened in Orlando with 392 rooms, a private 5,000-sq. ft. multipurpose room, four meeting breakout rooms and a dedicated group check-in area.
The Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center remodeled its 23,500-sq. ft. ballroom, expanded its event space and redesigned its 503 rooms to meet eco-friendly standards. It has a total of 55,000 square feet of meeting space.
The 22-story Hilton Lexington Downtown reopened after a renovation of its 367 rooms and more than 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The Wyndham Garden Hotel Baronne Plaza New Orleans opened with 170 rooms and 5,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 3,500-sq. ft. ballroom that can accommodate groups of 10 to 390.
The 16-room boutique Peacock Inn in Princeton reopened with a gourmet restaurant and bar that accommodates 95 for events, and space for 22 in its Peacock Alley meeting room.
The Metropolitan Pavilion, an event venue in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, added the Metropolitan Suite, an 8,500-sq. ft. loft-like space that accommodates more than 300 guests. Total event space is now 55,000 square feet, with six spaces ranging from 8,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet, accommodating up to 1,564 guests.
The Sheraton Cleveland Airport Hotel reopened after renovating its 242 rooms and 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
Baptist Temple at Temple University in Philadelphia, which sat vacant for 30 years, reopened as a meeting and performance venue after a $30 million renovation. The 36,000-sq. ft. building seats more than 1,300 guests theater style and offers meeting spaces onstage, a chapel reception area, grand foyer and mezzanine.
Country Inn & Suites opened in Galveston Beach with 60 rooms, including whirlpool, studio and one-bedroom suites, and meeting space for up to 20 people.
Wyndham’s Hotel Galvez & Spa in Galveston renovated its second-floor rooms and plans to finish renovating all 224 rooms by next year. Amenities include more than 13,000 square feet of meeting space.
