North Point Hospitality Group is being downright neighborly this week when it celebrates the grand opening of its dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites by Hilton in Atlanta: The proceedings will include a $25,000 donation to Georgia State University’s Scholarship Fund.
The dual-branded concept — two hotels under the same roof — is relatively new in hospitality. The Hilton Garden/Homewood Suites is the first in metro Atlanta and only one of 14 worldwide, according to North Point spokeswoman Gina Kreiss.
The 12-story hotel in Midtown Atlanta features 136 Hilton Garden Inn rooms/suites and 92 Homewood studio and one-bedroom suites at 97 10th St. N.W. near the I-85/I-75 Downtown Connector. Together, they have five meeting rooms with more than 3,500 square feet of flexible space. The hotel is within a two-mile radius of the Coca-Cola Co., Georgia Tech and Turner Broadcasting, and not far from such downtown attractions as the Georgia World Congress Center, CNN, Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, Philips Arena and more.
