IMEX in Frankfurt’s Association Day will have an entirely different look this year. The session, on May 21, will double the number of education sessions and arrange them in specialist tracks. It also will feature contributions from 25 speakers, including CEOs and executive directors from some of the largest associations in Europe and the United States (the European Cancer Organization, the International Association of Public Transport, the Optical Society).
IMEX in Frankfurt is the annual worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events. Association Day precedes the rest of exhibition, which runs May 22-24 and is marking its 10th anniversary this year.
Association Day’s new learning formats include “Deep Dives,” which will allow delegates to explore a number of single-issue topics over a three-hour period; a new “Ask the Expert” clinic will provide complimentary one-to-one consultancy on value-added tax issues. Education tracks on meetings, operations and executives have been added. The day will conclude with a choice of more than 20 peer-to-peer round-table discussions with topics chosen by delegates in advance of the day. Register here.
IMEX Association Day typically attracts 300 executives from more than 30 countries. In its entirety, IMEX 2011 drew more than 3,500 exhibitors from more than 150 countries for three days of business. An inaugural IMEX America, last October in Las Vegas, attracted more than 2,000 hosted buyers, 1,800 exhibitors from 147 countries and thousands of attendees. This year’s IMEX America, again in Las Vegas, takes place Oct. 9-10.
