The city of Irving, Texas, has decided that the flagship hotel at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas (ICCLC) will be a 350-room Westin, part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts brand.
The full-service ICCLC Westin, budgeted at $90 million and expected to open late next year, will be adjacent to the convention center and connected by a sky bridge. It will have 20,000 square feet of meeting space and a 300-space parking garage. The convention center itself has three levels of function rooms, including a 50,000-sq. ft. column-free exhibit hall, pre-function spaces, ballrooms and breakout rooms.
Irving is located between Dallas and Fort Worth, adjacent to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Las Colinas, home to the convention center, is a 12,000-acre master-planned community within the city limits.
