A total of 18 planners have earned Certified Special Events Professional designations from ISES, the International Special Events Society.
These professionals (listed in alphabetical order) will now carry the CSEP designation after their names: Leslee Bell and Rebecca Cotter of Toronto; Tanya Cropley of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Nadine Dekema of Los Angeles; Christian Deviller of Calgary; Richard Foulkes of Exeter, England; Cheryl Haney and Elana Hertel of St. Louis; Tarin Horan of Herndon, Va.; Mary Jane Howlett-Sexsmith of Calgary; Susan Levick and Mary Ellen Miller of Dallas; Kristin Olafsdottir of Phoenix; Allison Rannelli and Charlene Roth-Diddams of Calgary; Evan Schaefer of Tempe, Ariz.; Nancy Strutzenberg of Des Moines, Iowa; and Kelly Thompson of Las Vegas.
The certification recognizes meeting and special event professionals who demonstrate the skills and ability to coordinate multiple components of an event. To earn the designation, the event professionals had to complete a rigorous exam. The CSEP credential sets the benchmark for best event practices worldwide.
