The Nanuku Resort & Spa Fiji opened on 55 acres in Pacific Harbour. It has 12 guest rooms, a 2,045-sq. ft. divisible meeting room, outdoor event space on its pool deck and beach, and two villas that can accommodate 17 guests each.
The Portrait Firenze hotel opened in Florence with 34 guest rooms/suites and a 2,938-sq. ft. penthouse.
The 185-room Best Western Yokohama opened with one meeting room, which can hold up to 60 people.
The beachfront Outrigger Mauritius Resort & Spa opened with 181 guest rooms and three meeting rooms plus poolside event space for up to 80 guests.

The Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre hotel reopened with nine meeting rooms that feature its “innovative meetings concept.” Groups can qualify for such activities as sushi workshops, express massages, champagne tastings, themed cuisine menus and Wii tournaments.
The Four Points by Sheraton Phoenix South opened with 160 guest rooms and 9,000 square feet of function space.
The 155-room Red Lion Inn & Suites Tucson North Foothills opened with 1,600 square feet of meeting space.
The Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo was named full-service hotel of the year for the Renaissance Hotels Western region. It has 174 rooms/suites and 5,500 square feet of meeting space.
The Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles/Redondo Beach opened with 147 guest rooms and more than 2,500 square feet of flexible meeting space with Meetings Simplified by Hilton services.
The Marina del Rey Marriott completed a multimillion-dollar renovation that encompasses its 370 guest rooms/suites, corridors and Concierge Lounge. It has 18,000 square feet of flexible event space.
The 57-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Alamosa opened with a 264-sq. ft. meeting room that can hold up to 20 people.
The 1915 Colorado National Bank building reopened as the 230-room Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center. The hotel has 6,000 square feet of meeting space that includes three of the building’s original bank vaults with their 60,000-pound steel safe doors.
The 285-room Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas in Steamboat Springs completed more than $16 million in renovations and upgrades, adding 56 Mountain Suites, expanding the fitness center and redesigning the pool. The resort has 15 rooms for meetings of 1,000 guests or less.
The Mission Inn Club & Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills near Orlando received the Florida Excellence Award from the U.S. Trade & Commerce Institute. The golf club/resort has two ballrooms and 1,200 acres of outdoor event space as well as 176 accommodations (guest rooms, club suites, one- and two-bedroom suites, three-bedroom penthouse suites, and two- and three-bedroom villas) spread across three hotels.

Atlanta’s Westin Peachtree Plaza completed the final phase of a $70 million renovation that included its 1,073 guest rooms/suites, lobby and revolving Sun Dial Restaurant. The hotel, which had been a AAA Three Diamond property for 30 years, recently earned a fourth diamond.
A new Hampton Inn opened in Harvey, 10 minutes west of New Orleans with 83 guest rooms and a 552-sq. ft. meeting room.
The former Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon reopened as the 188 room/suite Cromwell on the Las Vegas Strip. After a $185 million renovation the hotel features a 40,000-sq. ft. casino and the first restaurant by Giada De Laurentiis plus a 65,000-sq. ft. nightclub/lounge and four suites.
La Posada de Santa Fe opened on six acres with accommodations that include adobe casitas and guest rooms in the French Second Empire-style 1882 Staab House mansion. La Posada has five meeting spaces; the largest is 2,048 square feet.

The 131-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Washington University opened in Pullman with 1,863 square feet of meeting space.
The Motif Seattle hotel, which opened downtown with 329 rooms/suites and 20,000 square feet of meeting space, has joined Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI).
