May 2015: Meeting industry hires & promotions

Daniella Tonetto became sales & marketing general manager at the Sheraton Macao Hotel and the St. Regis Macao, both in Cotai Central.

Bruce A. Reed joined 3H Group Hotels as chief operating officer.

Arantxa Balson its chief human resources officer.

Amber Voelker became sales director for Associated Luxury Hotels International’s West Region.

Crestline Hotels & Resorts named David J. Makarsky as chief operating officer.

HEI Hotels and Resorts promoted Ted Darnall to CEO of HEI Hotels and Resorts Lodging and Technical Services Co., Clark Hanrattie to managing director of investment & disposition activities and Tory Waterman to senior vice president of hotel finance.

Atish Shah became senior vice president and interim chief financial officer at Hyatt Hotels.

Doug Gehret became area vice president of operations for Hilton Worldwide properties in Central Florida and South Carolina.

Red Lion Hotels Corp. appointed Angie McPetrie to lead lodging development in its Central Region.

Wyndham Hotel Group named Carol Bullock as vice president of global sales, responsible for North America and Latin America. Dawn Parisi became vice president of field sales.

David Keller became national golf sales manager at We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Myrian Kournaf became managing director of Family Coppola Resorts’ luxury hotel group in California.

The Resort at Pedregal in Baja, Calif., named Gregory Breeback its  chef de cuisine.

Robert Cima became general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village in Los Angeles and was named regional vice president overseeing hotels and resorts in Los Angeles; Lanai, Hawaii; Whistler and Vancouver, British Columbia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Bogota, Colombia.

Paul Toner became general manager of the JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square.

Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa in Gateway, Colo., named Leah Gower its spa director and Chris Cantwell its chef de cuisine.

Karen Crawford became sales director at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, near Beaver Creek, Colo.

Menin Hospitality in South Florida appointed Tim Nardi as vice president of hotel operations and Joseph Natale as F&B vice president.

Logan Wolverton was promoted to general manager of the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Plantation [Fla.].

Kristiann Galati became sales & marketing director at the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel in Florida.

Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla., named Chris Walling its F&B director and Gary Klinefelter as executive chef of its Diplomat Prime restaurant.

Edd Karlan became sales & marketing director at the Hilton West Palm Beach [Fla.], a 400-room hotel expected to open spring 2016.

Tricia Vecchio became destination sales manager at the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Scott Bunce became vice president of development for Atlanta-based Marble Arch Groups’ hospitality management division.

The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga.,named Gail Drouillard its sales & marketing director.

Douglas Drummond became general manager at the Lumeria Maui in Makawao, Hawaii.

Illinois-based First Hospitality Group named Justin Harkey its corporate director of F&B.

Rodney M. Brittain was named general manager of the Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal [Ill.], scheduled to open in August. Rini Wulandari Stoltz became sales & marketing director.

Hans Ritten became general manager of the all-suites Omni Chicago Hotel on Michigan Avenue.

Morris E. Lasky, founder and CEO of Lodging Unlimited Inc., died March 24 of pancreatic cancer. The Chicago-based executive was also, at various times in his career, CEO and founder of the LUI Group and Lodging Opportunities Group; co-chair, founder and producer of the Hotel Investment Networking Conference and International Hotel Conferences in Monte Carlo and Rome; and chairman/co-founder of the Lodging Conference in Phoenix.

Bo Hagood became general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Schaumburg, Ill.

Brett Forshag became sales & marketing director at the Intercontinental New Orleans.

Brigette T. Folse became sales & marketing director at the Royal Sonesta New Orleans.

Mary Hendricks became sales director at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Merrimack, N.H.

The under-construction Homewood Suites by Hilton Gateway Hills Nashua [N.H.] hired Adam Robitaille as general manager and Jayme Putnam as sales manager.

Edan Ballantine became general manager of the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick in New Jersey.

Yvette Edwards became marketing director at the Loews Regency Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Chris Hosmer became general manager at the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Rusty Wallace became regional vice president of operations for Omni Hotels & Resorts in Texas.

The Adolphus hotel in downtown Dallas named Claudia Eggspuhler its general manager.

Alison Brooks was promoted to general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Mesquite, Texas.

Brad Williams was promoted to general manager of the Residence Inn San Antonio [Texas] Downtown/Market Square.
