The Melbourne Convention Bureau in Australia raised $28,445 for a children’s charity by putting it on the line at the Great Adventure Challenge.
Ten teams took part in the challenge — a full-day, team-based corporate adventure race — on Nov. 16. They were awarded time credits based on their fundraising efforts.
MCB’s funds will go to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the only children’s charity with a permanent, physical presence in every major pediatric hospital in Australia. This $28,445 allows the foundation to grant four seriously ill children a once-in-a-lifetime wish or transforming the hospital experience for more than 800 children.
