“Warwick New York Hotel where sophisticated, discreet old Hollywood style and stories can be seen and heard throughout and those in the know choose to stay, play and entertain”
Commissioned in 1926 by William Randolph Hearst as an east coast getaway for his paramour, Marion Davies, and his influential Hollywood friends, the hotel stands iconically at 54th Street and Avenue of the Americas (between 5th and 6th Avenues). The hotel’s location was purposefully chosen due to its proximity to Ziegfeld Theater, Broadway shows, Central Park and of course 5th Avenue shopping.
Today the hotel offers its international and domestic travelers a choice of 426 guest rooms and 67 with unparalleled 6th Avenue/Manhattan views. In 2013 the hotel unveiled a new collection of five “Signature Suites” that pay homage to its highly storied history as well as today’s cultural landscape. Aptly named The Randolph Suite, The Marion Suite, The Follies Suite, The Jane (Russell) Suite and The Modern Art Suite-the latter paying respect to our world renowned neighbor, The MoMA.
With a series of terrace suites and over 8,000 sq ft of banquet/meeting space most with windows offering natural light The Warwick New York’s tradition of being “the place” to entertain and play lives on. Visit our restaurant Murals 54 and ask about the scandalous history of the originally painted Dean Cromwell murals on the walls or stop in at Randolph’s for a refreshment before heading out on the town or a night cap to end a memorable evening.
