Plan Your Meetings’ 2014 Annual Guide has been nominated for four 2015 Azbee Awards of Excellence — two national design awards, one regional design award and one regional editorial award. The Azbees, presented by the American Society of Business Publishers and Editors (ASBPE), are among the most competitive contests for business-to-business, trade, association and professional publications. In most categories, a gold, silver and bronze award is given.
Plan Your Meetings, a multimedia educational resource for corporate meeting planners, was nominated in these digital and print categories.
NATIONAL: FRONT COVER DESIGN. The 2014 edition featuring “Risky Business,” designed by art director Joshua Harting, along with digital designer Ian Carson and Kristi Casey Sanders, VP of Creative and chief storyteller.
NATIONAL: FEATURE ARTICLE DESIGN. For “Power to the People,” written by Sanders, designed by Harting and Carson.
REGIONAL: OPENING PAGE / SPREAD ILLUSTRATION. For “Risky Business: How to keep your events safe in times of terrorism, strikes and more,” coordinated by Sanders and designed by Harting and Carson.
REGIONAL: HOW-TO ARTICLE. For “Risky Business,” written by Janet Roberts, with additional material by Garland Preddy and Sanders, edited by Kathy Janich.
The national awards will be presented as part of the ASBPE 2015 National Conference & Azbee Awards Banquet on July 24 in New York. That afternoon Sanders will take part in a discussion on Mastering the Art of Multi-Platform Storytelling. Details on all educational sessions can be found HERE.
Regional awards will be presented at another time. Plan Your Meetings is in the Southeast Region comprising business-to-business publications from elsewhere in Georgia as well as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina.
