Thank you so much for all your recommendations of innovative meeting planners, events, services, tourism agencies and venues! We were overwhelmed by the response. Now we need your help deciding which meeting planner should appear on the cover of our 2011 Plan Your Meetings annual.
Event: A client/employee appreciation event that also was a holiday/fifth anniversary party.
Innovative elements: Venue was a raw space that was transformed into a “nightclub” using LED Intelligent (color and pattern-changing) lighting, firepits on the patio and strategically placing club-like furniture, glowing tables and branded columns. Cocktail napkins featured one of three brand-related questions to spark conversations. During DJ breaks, entertainment was provided by blacklight casino tables, an extra large photo booth and a live band.
Event: An event for 500 who wanted a Latin-inspired “hot tropical Miami event experience.”
Innovative elements: Venue was a parking garage’s 7th floor, which was within walking distance of host hotels. It was transformed with bright colored linens and vintage cigar box table accents. Entertainment was provided by a live Latin band and costumed dancers.
Event: Annual trade show/workshop series.
Innovative elements: Venue was a museum. In the gallery, atrium and classroom spaces, meetings and exhibits were held. Exterior grounds were transformed into a “polo field” for an end-of-event team-building game. Instead of horses, polo players rode Segways.
